What is your role at EWG, and can you tell us a little of what your role entails? I am a Manager within  the Compliance Team. I have been with EWG since May 2023 and I love it!  My role is varied and includes interacting with our wonderful clients to assist with the onboarding process (walking through the new, simplified onboarding application process at the moment) as well as liaising with our payment partners in relation to compliance queries.  I also undertake the important task of the daily monitoring of client accounts, payments and trades.

What attracted you to the role at EWG? The cutting-edge technology - the team is always looking for ways to enhance the client experience whilst ensuring that everyone is protected. I also love that the three founding Directors are on the floor so I can get quick input and real time decisions - helping me to deliver those high levels of service.

What makes EWG's offering unique? For me the unique thing about EWG is the pace at which we can make change.  We also have a client app that is second to none and we deliver exemplary client service - clients are encouraged to pick up the phone (or send an email) and talk to specialist team members, while the Directors continue to be on hand, ensuring that personal service for all. We always have the client at the heart of all that we do, and we all pull in the same direction. For a small team we smash it!

Why do you think it's important for EWG to keep evolving its offering, at pace? We pride ourselves on delivering an exceptional client experience through our innovative, cost-effective, international payments solution and multi-currency management service. To ensure we deliver solutions that exceed expectations, we need to be at the cutting-edge of tech innovation to deliver the solutions that clients desire whilst ensuring we capture everything the Regulator recommends.

How does the team at EWG anticipate the needs of clients? We are all clients - we start with what we would like to use/see/have available and  take it from there. Between us, the team has decades of experience in the financial services sector, having seen the good and the bad and now learning all about the new world of AI. Importantly, we take the time to listen - we listen to client feedback and what updates and features would make their lives easier.

What recent development in the sector has made you sit up and take  notice? For me, I think it is more the speed of change in the sector at the moment. AI has proved it is here to stay and we must streamline and embrace this at the same time as ensuring we are keeping ourselves and our clients safe and protected in this new fast evolving world.

Best piece of professional advice given to you? Never over promise and under deliver.
